About this Library

So what is there to discover?

The library property was once the site of the three-storey Royal Hotel. In 2018, the branch celebrated its 110th birthday. The first librarian in the Carnegie-funded building was Miss Flora MacKay from Bruce Township. Interesting fact: at one time the Library was where citizens of Port Elgin acquired their drivers’ licenses.
