About this Library
So what is there to discover?
The Hamlet of Cargill has had a public library since 1895. The library was housed at many different locations though the years. In 1968, it was moved to the back porch of the branch supervisor. By 1990, it became apparent that the library had outgrown it’s space as well it wasn’t wheelchair accessible and had no washroom facilities. The local community through fundraising and grants built a new library building which opened in 1992, where the library branch is presently located.
