About this Library
So what is there to discover?
The first library, or “Mechanics Institute” in Tiverton was a rented room in the Masonic Hall in 1891. Mr. Miller, principal of Tiverton Public School, was hired as librarian for $8 per quarter. From 1921 to 1979, the Tiverton Branch Library shared a location with the Tiverton Women’s Institute. The branch became part of the Bruce County Co-operative Library Association in 1945. The present building at 56 King Street opened in 1983.
