Tax Clinics Come to Bruce County Public Library

Bruce County Public Library is hosting free tax clinics through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). These clinics are available at our Port Elgin, Kincardine, Chesley, and Walkerton Branches. Last year, over 200 returns were completed through the Library’s CVITP clinics.

It is an important service for families and individuals to ensure they receive the benefits and credits they are entitled to, such as the Canada Child Benefit. The clinics are free of charge for anyone who meets the eligibility criteria and has a simple tax situation. Volunteers can complete taxes for the current and previous years.

“We are extremely grateful for the volunteers that come forward to help Bruce County Public Library bring this program to our patrons and the residents of Bruce County,” said Library Director Brooke McLean.

Clinics are by appointment only until the end of April. Contact the Library Branch you wish to attend directly to book your appointment time by phone, email or in person.
