How do I get a library card?
Visit any of our library locations to get your free library card. Bring a piece of identification with your current address and photo (for example, a Driver’s License). Children under 14 can get a library card with parent or guardian permission.
You can also apply online for a temporary card that will give limited access to digital resources. Access will expire in two weeks. To transition to a permanent card, please visit any of our library locations.
How do I renew my library card?
Library cards expire every 2 years. Visit any of our library locations with current photo ID and proof of address to renew your BCPL card.
Any outstanding fees must be paid before your library card can be renewed.
If we have your email on file, you will receive a notice 30 days before your card expires.
What if I lose my library card?
Let us know as soon as possible! You are responsible for all materials signed out on your library card. You can purchase a replacement card for $3.00.

What is my PIN?
Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) was assigned when you registered for a library card. It is used to access your online account and many of our online resources, such as eBooks. Please contact library staff if you need help retrieving your PIN.
