About
The Chesley Library began as a Mechanic's Institute in 1888 before transitioning to a Public Library in 1899. Initially housed in the town hall, it occupied the building where the Bijou Theatre now stands. In 1967, as part of the official town Centennial Project, the library found its new home further down the main street in a building generously donated by William Krug.
