About
The Kincardine Public Library traces back to 1861 when it was a Lyceum Club dedicated to advancing education in the community. Its first librarian was Norman Robertson, author of 'History of the County of Bruce,' who left a lasting mark on local history. In 1908, the library's permanent location was built, which was made possible through the generous support of Andrew Carnegie's funding program.
